AI Processing: We use artificial intelligence and machine learning to generate resume content based on your input. This involves sending your job descriptions, existing resume content, and preferences to AI service providers for processing.

Data Training: We may use aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified data to improve our AI models and services. We do NOT use your identifiable personal information or specific resume content to train AI models for other users without your consent.

Third-Party AI Services: We use the following AI services:

• OpenAI: For resume and cover letter content generation
• Anthropic (Claude): For AI-powered features

Your data processed by these services is subject to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements. We have appropriate data processing agreements in place with these providers.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
• Encryption of sensitive data at rest
• Secure authentication via Clerk (including multi-factor authentication options)
• Regular security assessments and monitoring
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data
• Secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure (Vercel, AWS)

Important: No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

• Active Account Data: Retained while your account is active
• Resume Content: Retained until you delete it or 30 days after account deletion
• Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws
• Usage Analytics: Retained for 2 years, then anonymized
• Support Communications: Retained for 3 years after resolution
• Marketing Preferences: Retained until you change them or delete your account

After account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
